Visual Tools - visualization made easy
Markus Wortmann is an image prototyper, graphic designer, artist and trainer. With the VISUAL tools, he has developed small, simply designed images with enormous expressive power. In his book, he explains step by step how to draw figures in different positions. The Neuland TrainerMarker serves as the starting point for these figures.
NB: Markus Wortmann, you are a real multi-talent: book author, trainer, seminar leader, graphic designer, artist - in which area do you see your main vocation?
Markus Wortmann: I used to see myself in an interplay between three worlds: art, graphics and business. By linking the worlds of "art" and "graphics" under the catchphrase "touch of art", I was able to find a special approach to the economy and, above all, to the people in this world. My world is therefore based on two pillars: on the one hand image work and VISUALTools, and on the other consulting, training and personal development. I see it as my task to encourage people to create a balance between feeling, thinking and acting. On the other hand, I continue to enjoy working as an artist.
My art is formed from 3 "Cs", namely ability, knowledge and knowledge. I often find that people are rather hesitant when it comes to these terms, that they draw great skill and deep knowledge from their life experience, but believe that they are not allowed to "know". We also find an example of this in our children's education today, where there is not always a balance between these concepts.
Your leitmotif is: "I am touch in the medium of art" ... what should an artistic layperson imagine by this?
Man cannot exist alone. They can only define themselves by separating themselves from a counterpart. This phenomenon can be observed very well in children. It is only through their realization that there are other people and that their attitudes and values may not be compatible with their own lives that they are given the opportunity to develop their own character and recognize their potential. My gift lies in observing these processes. For example, I see myself at the management level of companies as the "outside eye" that is able to describe and draw these processes in order to drive development to a higher level.
You give courses in which you encourage trainers to visualize more in their seminars. You have also published a book on this topic. What is the main message of your "teaching?"
Quite simply: anyone can visualize! Visualization only requires two elements: Knowing the right materials and methods, and the skill that comes with ongoing practice and review. Thanks to these two steps, the subsequent "announcement" is no longer a problem!
