Bildbar card set II: Putting feelings into words with pictures
The "Bildbar II - Shaping boundaries" card set contains 50 powerful images on the subject of "boundaries". The pictures help to put "boundaries" into words in education, coaching, supervision, therapy and training. Five methods are described in the booklet.
A man comes to a coaching session because he doesn't know what to do next. His coach asks in vain about the time period, the symptoms and a possible trigger. Finally, he asks the client to choose a picture that reminds him of his current situation. The client chooses a photo of a clown sitting slumped over in a shopping street.
The coach asks him to look at the picture and write down impulses from his point of view. The picture "speaks" to the client: "I am the clown, I have turned away, I am exhausted, sad. I need to take my life back into my own hands and pick myself up and get on my way ...". Supported by the coach's questions, the client derives concrete steps and options for action from the answers, step by step, which they were not previously aware of.
Pictures help to set boundaries
In their coaching, consulting and team development processes, Jimmy Gut and Margit Kühne-Eisendle repeatedly came across the topic of "boundaries" and various statements such as "I'm not getting anywhere" or "I'm so bad at setting boundaries". On the one hand, boundaries are vital, but they can also weigh us down. To work with this theme, the authors have collected numerous motifs over the years that symbolize boundaries but can have very different effects.
These include a picture of an exploring diver. For some people, the image triggers a feeling of calm or curiosity, while for others it evokes constriction. By working with the picture cards, it is important to the authors to create an awareness of a perspective in which boundaries are experienced as spaces that can be shaped and open up possibilities for new ways of looking at things and acting.
Images that inspire thoughts
To this end, they have compiled 50 picture motifs that inspire thoughts and awaken feelings and stored them safely in a high-quality metal box. The picture card collection can be easily combined with the previously published method book "Bildbar" and its predecessor "Bildbar Das KartenSet".
