Distributing tasks in seminars
In seminars, there is always a scramble for the tasks that need to be completed: Who moderates? Who keeps an eye on the time? Who presents the results? This method makes discussions superfluous and creates clarity: it distributes responsibility according to a random criterion. The procedure for determining people is simple and random: the moderator asks a question - and the person to whom the answer applies gets the "hat on"
Examples
Who had the last birthday?
Who has been furthest away on vacation?
Who lives with the most living creatures in the same household (including pets)?
Who has the most siblings?
Because it is never known which question will be asked, there is a certain amount of tension at the start of the small group work. The method has the effect of getting to know each other in the group, especially when exciting questions have been devised.
