Spielbar Swiss Edition - the best games for seminars and workshops
Now that the "Spielbar" has long since achieved cult status in Germany, the Swiss trainer scene has had its say with the Spielbar "Swiss Edition": around 50 experienced trainers present over 60 fresh games and exercises that they themselves frequently and enjoy practicing and therefore recommend to others.
The Swiss Edition of "Spielbar" inspires with suggestions for completely new exercises and interesting variations on familiar games. As usual, the collection is edited by Axel Rachow. Many photos and sketches make it easy to find and intuitively implement the exercises.
All the games presented have been tried and tested in practice, pursue clearly defined learning objectives and can be used in specific seminar phases. Readers are given clear instructions that they can implement immediately. In addition, all game descriptions can also be used as flashcards.
"Something special" - a game to get to know each other by Martin Herzberg
Numberup to 18 people
Material
None
Duration
10 to 15 minutes
Preparation
None
Objective
- To get to know each other
- To highlight special features in the group
- Raise awareness
- Discover resources in the group
- Loosening up
All participants sit in a circle. The facilitator introduces: "I say that every person in this group does, has, was or is something that makes them different from everyone else in this group. It can be something professional, private, current or past. We simply make a claim.
However, the claim should be true. For example: "I claim that I am the only person here who has five black dogs at home." If this is currently true for someone else or was true at some point, that person can use their veto. Then you have to think of something else." The game is over when everyone has said something.
Comments
A veto may only be used if it really is exactly the same situation - in our example, "five brown dogs" would not be a valid veto for the statement "five black dogs"
Possible uses
- As an introductory round for a new group
- As an introduction for groups who know each other
- To strengthen the group
