Harvest helpers - a teaching method No. 59 by Harald Groß

It's as simple as that: All learners receive a "harvest helper name tag" at the start of the seminar. Ask the participants to write their names legibly on the front. Everyone still has an ordinary name badge in front of them. But then it's time to move on.
Now explain: On the back of your name tag, you will see blank lines and a field for the heading. Please enter "Helpful tips for me" in the top field. Whenever you discover something in the seminar that could be helpful for you, write down your ideas here. Now open the name tag and write at the top of the inside page: "I want to implement this" in the field for the heading. Here you can enter what you specifically want to do after the course.
Now the seminar can begin. After the first stage, ask the learners to take stock. And to consider for themselves what initial notes they can make. These small reflections will encourage them again and again. One last time at the end of the seminar. At the end, you can encourage the participants to present their harvest and their personal plans. In the whole group, in duos or small groups. If you want, you can take your name tag with the harvest and your specific plans with you. And then get started!
The great thing about the harvest helper: the learners always have their name tag with the key questions in view. Many participants grab the card again and again on their own initiative and add new points.
